This service is aimed at structural steelwork fabricators who are aware of EN 1090 and require assistance with or a better understanding of how to implement its requirements.
We offer a site visit to your facility to spend time with you focused on the application of EN 1090 and the Construction Products Regulation to your products and your manufacturing facility/techniques. During the visit we will undertake a Gap Analysis to help you get to grips with the structure of the regulation and the standard, including your legal obligations, identify any other applicable standards and advise on Notified Body involvement and Factory control procedures. To conclude we will provide a report identifying our findings and mapping out the way forward for you to complete CE marking of your products.
The visit will include:
•Explaining the CE marking process under the CPR and how EN 1090 fits in
•A Gap Analysis review of your product range and manufacturing methods
•Identifying Execution classes •Establishing Component specification
•Identifying supplier requirements for bought-in items & constituent parts
•Discussion of welding requirements (where applicable)
•A review of your factory production control system
•Explaining how to create Declarations of Performance and CE Marking labels and what to do with them
•Other topics covered are; Essential performance characteristics, Notified Body involvement, other applicable standards, likely costs and further assistance if necessary.
The cost includes our preparation for the site visit and follow up by email. Please note that TRAVEL EXPENSES are charged in addition.
