Self-Assessment Pack for EU General Product Safety Regulation ((EU) 2023/988) V1

This pack is designed to guide you through all the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), and includes templates and checklists for you to fill in for your product(s). 

It is suitable for manufacturers, importers, distributors (both online and in person) and those providing online marketplace services, and includes information on all the steps you will need to take to ensure your product is compliant.  The GPSR applies to all consumer products sold in the European Union (EU) and Northern Ireland that are not included in the scope of any CE marking legislation.

The pack contains:

• Checklist to check and record compliance with the Regulation
• Guidance notes explaining the requirements 
• Technical Documents template to assist in creating the necessary technical documentation
• Risk Assessment checklist to inform and document the assessment
• Economic operator flowchart to clarify your obligations
• 1 hour of consultancy time for questions and specific assistance

Please note: the requirements for products made available within the EU (and Northern Ireland) differs from those made available in Great Britain.  If you place your product on the market in both territories you will need to ensure that your product complies with both sets of regulations.  You may need to adapt your product or its accompanying information (packaging, labelling, instructions etc.) for each territory.  A separate pack covering the requirements of the UK General Product Safety Regulations is available if you intend to make your product(s) available in Great Britain, and both packs can be purchased together for a reduced cost. 

• Once you purchase the pack, you will receive two emails, the second one containing a link to download the pack. The download link will only remain active for 3 days so please make sure you download the pack and save to your computer before this time.
• The download is a compressed ZIP format and you will need to 'unzip' the file to see the Word and PDF documents contained.
• VAT will be added at the checkout.
• Consultancy time must be used within 12 months from purchase date.
